This is a small, practical work light I made because none of my existing lights were convenient for working on enclosed 3D printers. The electronics are intentionally exposed. This isn’t decorative lighting — it’s a straightforward, utility-first tool for people who like seeing how things work.
Most LED lights are bulky — they rely on batteries, handles, switches, or stands. This one doesn’t. It’s low-profile, USB-C powered, and magnetic. Just grab it, stick it where you need light, and it stays out of the way while you work. This light may also be used as a semi-permanent alternative to more advanced printer lighting mods that anyone can install.
Built around the shape of the Elegoo Centauri Carbon's toolhead daughter board, each unit is hand-assembled from electrically solid prototype boards that didn’t meet requirements for their original mounting role. Functionally identical, with small cosmetic variations that come from real development work related to one of my videos. The cover is made from tough and flexible 95A TPU.
Plug it into any USB-C power source, including the front port of an enclosed printer, and move it wherever you need light.
